the lost rhino story

About Us

The Journey of Lost Rhino Brewing

Lost Rhino was born from the vision of founder Matt Hagerman, who seized the opportunity to purchase brewing equipment from the legacy Old Dominion Brewing Company. In 2011, he established our brewery's operations on Red Rum Drive, pouring his experience and passion into creating our initial beloved brands. With our 25-barrel brewhouse, we quickly filled a significant gap in the local market, reconnecting the community with the joys of craft beer.

Nowadays, Lost Rhino has grown quite a bit since it’s founding, but we have never lost sight of our love for the craft. In the brewhouse, we take pride in bringing classic styles and local flavor in all of our beers. Everything we craft is personal; we thrive on choosing the scenic route, the tough challenge, the road less traveled.

We have proudly served a diverse clientele, including local beer aficionados, businesses, and establishments looking for quality craft beer. Our commitment to collaboration extends to partnerships with local eateries and events, enhancing the community’s appreciation for craft brews. At Lost Rhino, we cherish each relationship, striving to provide an exceptional experience with every pint.
